1. Clear fall days like today are what makes us have memory holes for the entirety of the month of February. And November. š Itās as good as it gets in the midwest. ā¤ Warm but not hot, endless blue skies, a sun where you can feel like you can taste the entirety of the ultraviolet spectrum, where you watch each flower turn its face to the warmth, the noise of bees vibrating in your sternum. One of those days.
2. Finished a great book last night, which is excellent, but now I have that despair of needing to find the next great book to read. Sigh. Always a challenge. (Great book = the latest in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. Itās ridiculous fun, but also the author manages to manufacture emotional resonance in a story about a guy in a post-apocalyptic earth who goes on a dungeon crawl with his ex girlfriendās award winning Persian cat. Yes. Itās quite ridiculous and ā¦ oddly compelling. If youāre at all into SciFi and Fantasy, give it a try. Author is Matt Dinnamen.)
3. Roasted tomatoes, peppers, Swiss chard, etc. for future me, Iām going to enjoy this gift from Past Karen so much. š
